Charles
F. Rosenay!!! of Connecticut (New England) is the founder Liverpool
Productions LLC, known as Boppers DJ Entertainment.
More
than just a DJ, Charles F. Rosenay!!! is recognized worldwide as
the consummate Beatles fan, aficionado & promoter. Liverpool
Productions was started as a DJ entertainment company with a separate
division to produce Beatles conventions across the
country. Thousands upon thousands of fans of all ages have
attended these Beatles festivals in such areas as Boston, Miami,
New Haven, Seattle, upstate New York, Detroit, Philadelphia and
other locations. In doing so, Liverpool Productions
Beatles Expos were the first outside of Liverpool, England to garner
such high-profile special guests as former Beatles drummer
Pete Best, John Lennon's first wife Cynthia Lennon, Lennon's
sister Julia Baird, and such well-known rock `n roll celebrities
as Davy Jones of the Monkees and Woodstock legend Richie Havens.
The conventions featured such heralded bands as Broadway's "Beatlemania"
and "1964: The Tribute". Charles was involved in the
first-ever large-scale Beatles fan expositions in Japan, and he
has personally hosted most of these conventions. A few years
ago, Charles phased out the conventions to concentrate exclusively
on travel and the DJ entertainment field. Although currently retired
from producing conventions, Charles F. Rosenay!!! still jumps at
the opportunity to host such shows across the country, and he is
also one of the comperes (MCs) at the Mathew Street Music Festival
in Liverpool, England, which attracts an audience of 100,000.
When
the Rock `n Roll Hall of Fame opened in Cleveland, Ohio, there
was a video exhibit devoted to fans of artists deserving a permanent
home in the Hall of Fame. Charles was bestowed an honor unprecedented
in the history of the Rock & Roll museum; he was selected to
be featured on a video that is shown continuously at the Hall of
Fame, representing Beatle fans and followers worldwide.
As
a result of his contributions to helping keep the Beatles spirit
alive via the fan club publication and the conventions, Charles
has had the privilege of meeting and/or spending quality time with
just about every Beatle and every member of the Beatles family and
associates. He had dinner with Paul McCartney, and always
considered Linda McCartney a friend and supporter. His close
encounters with George Harrison, Ringo Starr, George Martin,
Julian Lennon, and others are great memories, but his one regret
is never having the opportunity to meet John Lennon.
Every
summer since 1984, Charles has hosted the "Magical Mystery
Tour to England", a travel package which takes groups
of fans from North America to London and Liverpool for the ultimate
experience -- a pilgrimage to the Beatles' homeland. He is
been regarded by fans in both England and America as the "unofficial'
ambassador of good will and public relations, responsible for having
brought thousands upon thousands of tourists to Liverpool for years.
In
the broadcast field, Charles has done stints on radio stations such
as WPLR, WCCC and KC-101, but his love for performing in front of
live audiences always wins out.
Amidst
all the Beatles-related projects, Charles continues to entertain
at weddings, bar mitzvahs and dances throughout the tri-state area.
Along with fellow Boppers DJ Danny Levine, Charles DJs once a year
in England at London's original Hard Rock Caf. Perhaps best
known in Connecticut as head DJ and music director at the famous
Boppers showcase nightclubs, Charles was recognized
as one of the top DJ/MC personalities in America. He still performs
in clubs occasionally, but devotes most of his entertainment skills
to private parties, where he remains one of the most in-demand DJ/MCs
on the East Coast.
